In just one month my husband and I will be traveling to San Francisco and Seattle for a 12 day trip. While in Seattle we’ll visit with my good friend Kelly who I haven’t seen since we celebrated the New Year in 2003/2004.
I decided to make her a present, a cowl, since she’ll be living in Oregon now and need of something warm on cold evenings. And to say thanks for being a great friend over the years.
My Uncle Mike’s wife, Valerie, gave my mom and I this booklet most likely published in the 1960’s called Knitting Primer: 100 Easy-To-Knit Stitches. Cost = $1.25. One of the stitches in this booklet is a nice honeycomb cable so I’ve decided to make Kelly’s gift based on that design.
CO 72 stitches and let’s begin.
