Valerie’s Mother

My Uncle Mike’s wife, Valerie, sent my Mom and I a package full of knitting items. The items were originally owned by Valerie’s Mother who passed away recently. Valerie said her Mother was an expert knitter and that she would be happy to know her things had been given to two individuals who share her love of knitting.

The box included a bundle of metal knitting needles, a small slipper on-the-needles, afghan pattern books, knitting 101 books from the 1960’s and my very favorite 100 Easy-To-Knit Stitches book. Also included was a piece of paper with pattern notes for baby booties and hat for the local hospital.

Thank you Valerie’s Mom. I look forward to using one of the 100 stitches soon and sharing your kindness with others.
