#bagswap

In January, I came across a tweet by Miriam Felton inviting fellow crafters to participate in a project bag swap. Being an avid knitter and sewer I signed up immediately not realizing the crazy crafting schedule upon me over the coming weeks. Between making kilts for my husband and I (more on that later) and sewing 22 project bag giveaways for the Triangle Yarn Crawl I had my hands busy for weeks on end.

I chose cheerful contrasting fabrics to make two different styles of bags. The first being an easy drawstring bag using Purl bee’s pattern as a jumping off point and the other being a tote similar to the ones I made as gifts last year. Both styles of bags sew up pretty quickly so I spent just a few hours last weekend putting them together.

I mailed them earlier this week and am curious to see what kind of bags I’ll receive in return. Fingers crossed they’re well constructed and cute!
